It is Earth Month!   AVEDA cares about the earth and its surroundings 352 days of the year.  Dating back to 1978 Founder Horst Rechelbacher made it part of his mission statement.   Over 40 years ago Horst cared about the earth.  It was before politicians, government and organizations got involved.  This is incredible because it wasn’t a huge topic or belief in society back then.  Today the company still practices and strongly hold to his mission. This is why we are proud to be an Aveda Salon.

This year to celebrate Earth Month  walk for waterour salon Urban Designs by Avenue will participate in the 2nd Annual Walk for Water Event in Sarasota,  Fl.  This amazing event symbolizes the distance women have to walk in 3rd world countries to find clean water.   The event will be held at the John Ringling Causeway located in Sarasota.  The causeway extends from Sarasota to St. Armands Key and is about 3.097 miles.  The event will be held Sunday April 30th at 9:00 a.m.

How can you help participate? We are selling Aveda Candles for $12.00 at our salon Urban Designs by Avenue.  Aveda will donate 100% of all proceeds to “Gulf Coast Water Restoration.”  We will also be taking pledges towards our team walking in this event.  Furthermore, there are several ways you can help support a great cause in our area.  You are also welcome to walk this event with our team.  We only ask you receive pledges from friends, family or businesses.

So, We truly appreciate the support from our salon family and guests.  Without our great guests like yourself, our passion for hair and the environment would be greatly effected.

All in all, if you can help us reach our Earth Month Goal in 2018 we would be filled with Gratitude.  Most importantly, lets help our founder and leader Horst mission and passion live on for eternity.  Please call the salon for more information (941) 412-4165 or stop by the salon Urban Designs by Avenue 1057 US Highway 41 By-Pass south Venice, Fl 34285.  As always you can our website to learn more about our salon.
